Honda teases pair of futuristic EVs ahead of imminent reveal
Honda has teased a pair of new electric vehicles (EVs) ahead of a reveal in Las Vegas next month.
It’s calling these vehicles prototypes, but they could be more production-ready versions of the two Honda 0 Series prototypes – coined Saloon and Space-Hub – debuted at CES 2024.
They’ll debut at the CES 2025 technology convention from January 7-10, and preview models that are slated for a 2026 global launch.
In addition to revealing the two futuristic EVs, Honda will showcase its new in-house vehicle operating system and autonomous driving technologies that will feature in the 0 Series.

Last year’s Honda Saloon concept was revealed as a low-slung vehicle with a fastback silhouette and a spacious four-seat interior, while the Honda Space-Hub took the shape of a large, boxy people mover.
The new teaser image shows a vehicle that looks much like the Saloon, while the other appears to have a more SUV-like shape than the first Space-Hub prototype.
The first production models will debut in the North American market in 2026, followed by Japan, Asia, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and South America.
At the time of their reveal, Honda Australia said it had “no plans to bring the Honda 0 Series to Australia at this point in time”.
Honda will introduce a total of seven 0 Series models globally by 2030, including small, medium and large models.
0 Series models will be based on a new platform which will use thinner battery packs and smaller electric motors than current Honda EVs, bringing down weight and increasing driving range.
The 0 Series models are also expected to adopt Honda’s Level 3 semi-autonomous driving technology, including the ability for drivers to take their hands off the steering wheel and eyes off the road, depending on conditions.
Honda will use AI and LiDAR-based systems to run the improved advanced driver assistance systems in its models.
The company’s existing EV efforts have varied from e:N and Ye-badged vehicles developed primarily for the Chinese market, plus a pair of SUVs using General Motors EV underpinnings for North America.
Honda has also partnered with Sony to develop EVs under the new Afeela brand.
